What to Expect
What to Expect From PRP Injections
Your visit starts with a blood draw, similar to routine labs. We place the sample in a centrifuge for several minutes to separate the platelet-rich layer, then your clinician injects it directly into the joint or tissue. Most visits take under an hour, and you can drive yourself home afterward.
Process
One in-office visit covers the blood draw, centrifuge prep, and injection.
Recovery
Mild soreness or swelling for one to three days is common at the injection site.
